The author was gracious enough to agree to an interview. This is what she had to say:

Thank you for inviting me!

Could you please tell us a little about your book?

“Second Chance at Your Dream” is the first book to apply the breakthrouth insights of energy psychology to the issues of aging. Specifically, it teaches ways to release stress and move into positive expectancy, joy and abundance for the second half of life.

Did something specific happen to prompt you to write this book?

I was getting a bit older myself and realized how much the energy therapies were helping me to stay positive and hopeful. I wanted to share some of the methods that worked for me and ended up with over fifty exercises for self-care for any one in the later years of life.

Who or what is the inspiration behind this book?

The insatiable appetite of the Baby Boomers in the US and Zoomers in Canada inspired me to want to share my insights. They are a different breed—not wanting to go ‘quietly into any good night.'

Who is your biggest supporter?

The Vibrant Nation, National Association of Baby Boomer women (NABBW) and AARP members who want to know more than just how to balance the budget or follow a recipe.

Your biggest critic?

People who don’t want to take responsibility for their lives, especially if they’re over 60. Our nation needs these folks to speak out, mature and stop hiding behind their games of bridge, golf or the internet and become active in enhancing and protecting our society.

What cause are you most passionate about and why?

Preserving our mental capacities by being involved, active, vibrant in the tremendous times of change we’re experiencing. We elders are the people we’ve been waiting for—there is no other generation to do the job. We have the wisdom, the integrity and the skills to support the agents of change in this nation.

What is the most important thing in your life right now?

To see my fellow seniors more actively engaged and feeling their power. We are the generation that is changing our world, one person at a time.

What do you feel sets this book apart from others in the same genre?

This book is about very practical steps each person can make to release fears and imbedded beliefs about aging and to embrace full-energy living. It is about learning the creativity lifestyle and enjoying our abilities to the max.

You know the scenario – you’re stuck on an island. What book would you bring with you and why?

I would recall as many energy y exercises as possible to stay centered and plan for the future.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

I encourage each reader and participant to ask if they are living as fully as possible? What is holding you back? Would you like to know how to release your fears and live fully? Would you like to be part of the generation of change? Would you like to be remembered as a leader or a follower? I encourage and support you in being the best person you can be!”
